The company has issued a release that details the new models and upgrades for the D-MAX line-up which are due to arrive in the first quarter of 2022. Isuzu Ute spokesperson Hiroyasu Sato said these updates and models have been fast-tracked to meet the demand in the Australian market and many upgrades are driven by customer feedback.
The Isuzu D-MAX Ute range will be strengthened with 6 new models for the ’22 model line-up. Models that offer customers an impressive selection regarding body style, tray configuration and powertrain.
According to the Isuzu release, these new models are:-
- SX single cab chassis, 4x2 manual, 1.9 litre
- SX single cab chassis, 4x2 auto, 1.9 litre
- SX space cab chassis, 4x2 auto, 3 litre
- LS-M crew cab, 4x4, auto
- LS-U crew cab, 4x4, auto
- LS-U+ (plus) crew cab, 4x4, auto
There are new features and inclusions across the range and specific to each model.
Key Features to Note
The SX range with its several new variants reportedly offers great fuel efficiency, quieter operation and an economical ute option for a wide range of trades and small businesses as well as for fleet operators.
The Space Cab is a new addition to the SX line-up for 2022 and features rear-wing cabin doors and a 2100mm tray in choice of steel or alloy.
The LS 4x4 variants are powered by the 3 litre turbo-diesel, have diff-lock, 1800mm tray, high payload and impressive towing capacity.
The new Plus variant, the LS-U+, sits between the X-Terrain and LS-U and adds a level of luxury and class to the daily grind with its interior featuring leather accents, heated front seats, lumbar support for the driver seat and other features.
The mid-range LS-U models feature smart keyless entry, a walk away door lock, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a tub liner and a tow bar factory-fitted.
The X-TERRAIN model includes a tow bar receiver, heated door mirrors, variable heated front seats, enhanced instrument cluster and stylish finishes amongst other features.
Individual variants of course have their features so buyers can select exactly the D-MAX model to suit their specific application and possibly budget.
These 22MY models are available in a range of colours so buyers can customise them to suit their business signage or personal style. Colours include basalt and cobalt blue in mica, metallic mercury silver and obsidian grey, as well as marble white, magnetic red and volcanic amber on some models. And of course mineral white across the range. Other than white, the colours attract a price premium.
